10 Words or Less
I’ve never been so haunted by a phrase.
If you know me, you know I think in summaries. I can’t bring myself to write longer paragraphs or be more descriptive. You get one sentence for the basic principle, one for the example, and the last one to restate the principle. It’s science.
So why is the phrase “10 words or less” haunting me? I like to think it’s pressure, or maybe it’s that I have to describe something and they’re taking away my most useful tool, analogies.
I love analogies, they’re like the extra pair of eyes your readers need so they can see your point. Sadly, I can’t fit it into ten words or less.
I think I need to get out of my head. That’s actually why I’m writing this. I don’t think it’s working.
Maybe some music will help. We’ll see, we’ll see.
